As he made his way to Venezuela, Simón Bolívar stopped off at Bucaramanga to get fresh supplies, and this is the house from which he planned his military campaigns. A small museum of anthropology and regional history occupies the elegant colonial residence where he stayed for two months in 1828 and an exhibition recounts his stay in the city.
