Colpatria Tower, built in 1978, houses some important financial institutions. It is the tallest building in the city, topping out at 180m. At night, the tower assumes a cloak of multicoloured illuminations. The public can access the belvedere (mirador), a magnificent vantage point situated on the 47th floor. The view takes in the Cerro de Monserrate and the Cerro de Guadalupe to the east, Ciudad Bolívar to the south, and the Sabana Cundiboyacense to the west.
