For those who enjoy visiting wineries as part of a vacation, this restaurant, part of the highly modern Zuccardi bodega in the Valle de Uco, 120km or so from Mendoza, won’t disappoint. With a name (Infinite Stone) that is inspired by its unique setting between the vineyards, with the majestic Andes as a backdrop, the complex has been recognised by the Best of Wine Tourism awards as the world’s best winery in the “Architecture, Parks and Gardens” category (its cupola is particularly striking). The spacious entrance leads to a dining room which is contemporary in style and with large picture windows looking out on to its impressive natural surroundings. The thoroughly modern menu features four courses that champion locally sourced ingredients and recipes (beetroot, creamy Pepato cheese, trout and apples from Tunuyán, “tortita mendocina” baked in a clay oven, grilled T-bone etc) that are paired with some of the winery’s most distinct and exclusive labels. Lunch here also includes a visit to the bodega.
