This huge wooden greenhouse (1915), one of the largest in the world, is home to more than 2 100 species of plants, including a fabulous collection of orchids, tropical plants, palms and ferns. In front of it there is a long basin covered with water lilies, to the east of which stands the Casa del Prado, a beautiful Spanish colonial-style residence. About 15 little themed gardens (rose garden, cactus garden, desert garden etc) are scattered throughout the park, most of them with free access.
